The Donovan and Eunice Joan Williams collection of slides of Canadian churches contains 2,080 35mm slide photographs of churches from across Canada, taken in the late 1980s and 1990s. The majority of the churches date from the late 19th century to 1945, with few being built post-1945. The photographs include images of Anglican, Presbyterian, United, Catholic, Lutheran, African Orthodox, Ukrainian, Roman Catholic, Wesleyan, Baptist, Greek Orthodox, Unitarian, Mennonite, and Zion denominational churches. Donovan Williams took the photographs with the assistance of his wife Joan Williams and his assistant C. Timothy Beech. The collection also includes a box of textual records, including various pamphlets, brochures, booklets, books, articles, magazines, and photocopies of documents relating to church architecture and the history of churches in Canada.
This collection includes images of Anglican, Presbyterian, United, Catholic, Ecumenical, Lutheran, African Orthodox, Ukrainian Roman Catholic, Wesleyan, Baptist, Greek Orthodox, Unitarian, Mennonite, and Zion denominational churches.

The records document his activities in the establishment of a School of Architecture in the province of Alberta, the appointment of a City Architect at the City of Calgary, federal tax reform in 1969, the Prairie Rural Housing Committee at the University of Manitoba, and the design of the Calgary Internation Airport. There are two files of portfolios and pamphlets that document the history of the Stevenson Raines architectural firm. The fonds has been divided into four series: 1. School of Architecture Committee; 2. White Paper on Tax Reform and Proposed Architectural Department City of Calgary; 3. Prairie Rural Housing Committee; and 4. Additional Donations.

The Manager, Program Resources sousfonds (1980, 1982-1984, 1986-1995) contains curriculum evaluation materials, clinical placement reuqests, course outlines, students and faculty orientation manuals, minutes, staffing analyses and job descriptions, and agreements with Foothills Hospital and other institutions. The Curriculm Coordinator sousfonds (1961, 1985-1990, 1992-1995) contains records related to the Calgary Conjoint Nursing Program including committee minutes, terms of reference, faculty meeting minutes, program and committee structure documents, and conceptual framework materials; and renovation project reports, contracts, project outlines and proposal, facilities analyses, correspondence, and architectural plans and sketches. The Manager, Student Affairs sousfonds (1963-1965, 1968-1995) contains annual reports; student and residence policy statements and regulations; graudation correspondence, minutes, programmes, photographs and budgets; Administration/Faculty/Student Liaison Committee correspondence and terms of reference; and awards correspondence, policy statements, terms of reference and recipient lists. The Registrar sousfonds (1975-1976; 1978, 1983-1994) contains registrar manuals which include policy statements and admission reports. Accession 895/12.12 highlights Metcalf's work as an editor and mentor of new literary voices. The records cover the period from 2008-2011, including the tumultuous period of 2008-2009 following the publishing of the Jane Urquhart edited Penguin Book of Canadian Short Stories; Metcalf spearheaded a backlash to Urquhart's story choices, efforts that included an issue of Canadian Notes & Queries with the title "Salon des Refusés." This accession includes correspondence with authors, publishers, rare book dealers and artists, samples of author's work and editorial critiques, personal correspondence and photographs. The accession also includes works by Metcalf including drafts of his short story "Ceazar Salad," and the novella "The Museum at the End of the World."
