Fonds consists of records created or received by Marjorie Rice during her mathematical research and discovery of tiling patterns, and her study and exploration of tessellations and patterns derived from various geometric shapes.

3 Archival description results for Tessellations (Mathematics)
Series consists of examples of Rice's investigations of various mathematical tessellations and geometric tiling patterns. Includes handwritten notes, calculations and sketches of shapes and tiling designs, four of which were discovered by Rice. Files contain handwritten notes and calculations along with many hand drawn geometric patterns, some of which are on graph and tracing papers, along with photocopies of various shape and pattern combinations. Some shapes have been cut out while others are taped or glued together for the purpose of tracing and pattern projection.
Series consists of materials relating to the study and exploration of tessellations and patterns derived from various geometric shapes including: triangles, squares, rhombus, pentagons, isohedral and aperiodic tessellations.
