The subseries consists of Dr. Lewis’ research into the history of treatment methods models regarding the effects of battle fatigue experienced by military personnel during WWI and WWII. Records include manuscript drafts, notes, correspondence, military reports, and articles on the treatments developed by Canadian psychiatrist Arthur Doyle for the military during WWII in Sicily, Italy.
