        History

        Kathleen Parlow was born in 1890 in Fort Calgary, Alberta and moved to San Francisco when she was four years old. Parlow became a child prodigy in violin and by 17 she was giving national and international concerts. She became an instructor at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto in 1940 and formed a number of quartet groups.
