Fonds consists of records created or accumulated by John Kentfield in the course of his career. The majority of the records are research projects and publications (correspondence, background research, articles, reviews, typescript and handwritten notes, calculations, test results, conference presentations, research grants and patents). The fonds also includes teaching materials (course notes, readings and handouts, diagrams and calculations, assignments and exams.

Kentfield's areas of research included: wind turbines and wind energy, combustion engines, aircraft with outboard horizontal stabilizers (OHS), thermal dynamics, Stirling engines, and pulsed combusters.

Fonds consists of records created by Dr. Peter G. Glockner during his employment at the University of Calgary. Records include course files, faculty administrative materials, conference and presentation materials, along with reports and articles written by Glockner, research projects, and grants and funding he received. As well, there are files related to external organizations and committees he was involved with, records from his consulting firm, PG Consulting Services, and personal files primarily dealing with family history research. The material is primarily concentrated on engineering, focused on Glockner's interest in symmetry, dielectrics, ice domes, and especially shell theory.
