              Series consists of the drawings and sketches of Frederick William Beechey (1796-1856), an English naval officer, artist, explorer, hydrographer and writer. In 1819-20 he served under W.E. Parry in the Hecla on a voyage of discovery to the eastern Arctic, spending the winter in Winter Harbour, Melville Island, where he made scientific observations and sketches of the terrain.

              Series consists of correspondence between Johansen and his colleagues regarding administrative, academic, and professional interest in expedition specimens and reports and notebooks relating to expeditions.

              Harry Stallworthy fonds.

              Fonds consists of correspondence, primarily with H. Stallworthy's brother Bill in England and his wife Hilda, much of it written from various R.C.M.P. detachments and including official reports and documents; manuscripts of articles and lectures on the North; material about H. Stallworthy including personal documents, newsclippings and articles; Hilda Stallworthy's diaries, daily journals and notebooks; miscellaneous material; and slides and negatives of northern scenes. Fonds also includes copies of H. Stallworthy's R.C.M.P. service and medical files obtained from the R.C.M.P. Archives in Ottawa, Ontario, by William Barr as additional sources for his biography Red serge and polar bear pants : the biography of Harry Stallworthy, RCMP (Edmonton : The University of Alberta Press, 2004).

              Consists of a red leather photo album of 60 black and white photos from the voyage of the "Diana" and the "Knight Bachelor, "NOT FOUND: a booklet of information is included with this photo album and details the voyage and its significance as there are no labels on any pages of the photo album itself; this item seems to be related to entry number 5, see above, as the albums have the same layout, it is a red album as mentioned in the note found inside entry no. 5 and the same ships appear in both albums

              Consists of loose pages of a handwritten (ink) report by Captain Sir Alfred Hastings Markham aboard the HMS Alert. The Alert left Halifax on June 22, 1886. The report details the voyage with descriptions of the conditions in Hudson's Strait, weather conditions, and ice flows in the area and navigability of the passage
