Biographical history

Tom Langford is a Professor Emeritus, Department of Sociology. Langford received a Bachelor of Science (1971-1975) and a Bachelor of Arts (1982-1988) from the University of Guelph, and later a Master of Arts (1983-1984). Langford's PhD was received from McMaster University (1984-1989). After teaching at McMaster University (1988-1989), Langford moved to Calgary as a professor in the Department of Sociology (1989 to present). He was Head of the Department from 2003-2009.

Fonds consists of records relating to the campaign and election of Garth Turcott, NDP candidate for Pincher Creek-Crowsnest Pass (1966), Turcott's allegations of corruption against the Alberta government, and a later interview with Turcott. Fonds also consists of reports and papers written by Tom Langford related to labour movements.
