History
James M. Taylor, ?-1941, was born in Brigden, Ontario. In 1902 he prospected in the Klondike, after which he returned to Brigden and ran a sawmill, 1908-1910. He came to Alberta to homestead with other Brigdenites in 1910 or 1911, near the new town of New Brigden. He was accidently killed in a hunting accident in 1941, at which time his wife, Lil, returned to Ontario. The farm was later purchased by Albert McClean.
