Biographical history
Robert Stewart, 1880-1956, was born in Glasgow, Scotland and came to Canada in 1906. He settled in Calgary, Alberta about 1912 and briefly worked at the Calgary Herald. He rejoined the Herald in 1925 and retired about 1945. In the 1920s and 1930s he served as trainer for the Caledonia Football and Athletic Club of Calgary (the Callies). He and his wife, Ada, had one son, Stan.
