Biographical history
Robert Keith Chalk, 1924-1985, was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and attended the Technical Collegiate Institute from1939 to 1943. He joined the Royal Canadian Navy Volunteer Reserve and was on active service until 1945. In 1946 he joined the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and served in Alberta in Peace River, Rockliffe, Calgary, Edmonton, Red Deer, and Grande Prairie. He retired in 1968 as a Staff Sergeant. He and his family settled in Calgary, Alberta. Chalk married Agnes Catherine Davidson in 1951 and they had three children, Christine (Pedersen), Susan (Head) and David.
