Biographical history
Norah Muriel May, 1893-1974, was the daughter of Eliza Mary Paice and Ernest Gundry May of the photo studio, Boorne and May. Norah was born and brought up on the May ranch west of Calgary, Alberta. In 1907 she married R.C. Upper, 1876-1959, a well-known Percheron horse breeder in the Springbank area of Alberta. They had two children, Marjorie (Brady) and Muriel (Brady), and also cared for many foster children.
