Biographical history
John Edmour "Ned" Palmer, 1908-1994, was born in Calgary, Alberta, the son of Henry Palmer and Jeanette Dodd. An automotive mechanic by trade, he was employed from the 1920s to the 1940s with a variety of automotive firms in Calgary and Edmonton. He served in the army from 1940 to 1941. In the 1940s he established Golden Arrow Manufacturing Company which produced agricultural equipment. He married Ann Anderson, ?-1990, and they had at least a son, Harry, 1930- .
