• (2) Journal of H.M. Sledge "Reliance" while searching straits of Cape Walker for the Franklin Expedition. 1851. (followed by remarks on provisions, clothing, equipment etc. and notes on later cruises. (1851-1860)"

Consists of documents that appear to be about the Arctic expedition of 1850-1852 undertaken by the H.M.S. Resolute, of which Horatio Austin was the Captain; the aim of the expedition was to find out the fate of the Franklin Expedition
