Biographical history
Louis Leitinger, 1879-1951, was born in Austria and came to Calgary, Alberta in 1910. He worked on ranches, then as a teamster in Calgary. In the late 1930s he was the grievance officer for the Unemployed Married Men's Association, when the organization charged the City with failure to supply relief according to the Bureau of Relief and Public Welfare Act. He later operated Dance-A-Drome, and retired in 1946. His wife was Catherine, ?-1960.
