        Jones & Kirkland Architects (1983-1988) was established by Edward Jones (1939-) and Michael Kirkland (1943-). The Toronto-based firm designed the acclaimed Mississauga Civic Centre, which opened in 1987 and won the Governor General’s Award of Merit in 1990 as one of Canada’s iconic postmodern buildings.
