The films consist of television commercials, footage of the demise of old station buildings and equipment, and the introduction of new transmitters. Also includes a film regarding animated advertising signs (telesign).

The fonds consists of sound recordings of radio programs aired on CFAC, CKXL and CKY radio stations, including program regarding a Sarcee (Tsuut'ina) sun dance (1953); reminiscences of Jack Stewart growing up in Calgary in the 1930s (1961); religious and musical programs; and the theme song "Let's Keep Smiling" for the Jack Stewart Show.
