        Dale Holtslander, 1912- , was born on a farm near Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. He moved to Alberta at the age of 17, and worked at various occupations, including farming, logging and trapping. He served overseas during the Second World War. After the war he became an accountant, and eventually office manager of a lumber mill. He retired in 1977. He was married twice, to Mary Perry in 1947, and to Elizabeth Lamb in 1986. He had two adopted children, Murray Perry and Allan Perry. He was very interested in the development of school districts in the province, and did a great deal of research into this topic.
