        History

        John Edisforth Heward was born August 26, 1916. During WWII he served with the Royal Canadian Naval Volunteer Reserve (RCNVR) on HMCS Thunder (1941-42), HMCS Lachine (1942-1943), HMCS Medicine Hat (1943-1944). He was promoted to Lieutenant in 1942 and ended his naval career as commander of HMCS Rockcliffe. He was demobilized in October, 1945. Heward died August 17, 2002.
