Scope and content
Series consists of materials published by Father Le Jeune, superior of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Kamloops in British Columbia. Contents, including issues of the Kamloops Wawa newspaper, were written using his adaptation of the French Duployan shorthand writing system to translate local native languages into a hybrid "Chinook Jargon." Publications include whole and partial copies of lessons on common prayers and alphabets and other related subjects.
