Biographical history
Earle Gray, 1931- , was born in Alberta. He became a journalist and worked for Oilweek magazine, the Vancouver Sun, Calgary Albertan and Myers Oil News Service. He later was the director of Public Affairs for Canadian Arctic Gas Pipeline Ltd. In the 1980s he moved to Woodville, Ontario where he continued his writing career.
Gray is the author of The Great Canadian Oil Patch. - Toronto : Maclean Hunter, 1970; Wildcatters : The Story of Pacific Petroleums and Westcoast Transmission. - Toronto : McClelland and Stewart, 1982; Super Pipe : The Arctic Pipeline - World's Greatest Fiasco?. - Toronto : Griffin, 1979, and numerous other books.

The fonds consists of speeches given by executives of Canadian Arctic Pipelines (1977); manuscript of Great Canadian Oil Patch; manuscript of Petro People, the Fina Saga in Canada (unpublished); recorded interviews and transcripts for Super Pipe; and recorded interviews, transcripts and photographs for Wildcatters.
