Biographical history
Doris Tingle, 1920-1998, was born near Edmonton, Alberta and was raised in Edmonton. She worked for CJCA radio station and the Edmonton Journal newspaper in the 1940s. On December 6, 1946 she married Ken McKenzie, ?-1984, of Calgary. In the 1950s Doris and Ken moved to Dollarton, British Columbia. Ken McKenzie's mother Grace Silvester, was the daughter of Geoffry Silvester, 1859-?, a Calgary businessman and alderman. Ken had at least one child, Lynn (Fraser), by his first marriage.
