• File 15.02 consists of letters discussing articles and poetry submitted for publication consideration in Anthology, possible titles, cover design, copyright on material previously published and various other topics relating to publication of Anthology. Includes suggestions for possible essays, preliminary table of contents, addresses of contributors, cover designs and copies of letters from others forwarded by J. David. Essay by Brian Fawcett enclosed with one letter.
• File 15.03 consists of typescript (photocopy); typescript, signed (some photocopy); handwritten, signed (photocopy); typescript (carbon copy); drawings.
• Includes references to the following: The Bumper Book; Girl In Gingham.

The Bumper Book was to have been published originally as a special issue of Essays on Canadian Writing, co-edited by John Metcalf and Paul Stuewe. ECW Press decided to publish the work as a monograph only, and P. Stuewe withdrew as co-editor leaving John Metcalf as sole editor.
