History
Clare Francis Boalch (nee Crawford) was born in Edinburgh and married Ernest Herman Boalch in 1920. Their only child, Frederick, went on to enlist in the RCAF during WWII where he was initially trained as a Flight Engineer. In 1944, he was posted to Lachine, PQ and then to Patricia Bay, BC, where he died in a plane crash at the age of twenty-one in February of the following year.
