Biographical history
Arthur Llewelyn Roberts, 1908-1992, was born in Aberdare, Wales and came to his uncle's farm at Galahad, Alberta in 1924. Shortly after, he moved to Drumheller to work in the coal mines. He was very active in the United Mine Workers and Canadian Union of Public Employees. Art and his wife Mildred, ?-1984, moved to Calgary in 1956 where he continued his union activities. They had two children, Janet (Tarasoff) and Glenys ?-1991.
