History

Robert J. Young, 1858-1936, was born in England and emigrated to Hamilton, Ontario a a young child. He came west to the Okotoks area of Alberta ca. 1881-1883, to settle on Sheep Creek. He farmed / ranched the east half of 24-20-29-W4 until the early 1930s when he rented his land, but continued to live in his home. He never married. He lost his hands in an 1898 blizzard, and his life in a 1936 blizzard.
