        Andrew MacIntyre Young, 1904-1988, was born in Glasgow, Scotland and came to Kelvington, Saskatchewan in 1920 to homestead. He later joined Norwich Union Fire Insurance Society, and worked in the insurance business in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Regina, Saskatchewan, and finally in Calgary, Alberta until his retirement in 1964. While living in Winnipeg he led the 44th troop of Boy Scouts. He was an avid horseman, and in 1963 was named Horseman of the Year by the Alberta Light Horse Association. He and his wife, May, had two children, Robert and Sandra (Tidswell).
