History
George Wonacott, ?-1912, was born in London, Ontario. He came to Alberta about 1882 with the North-West Mounted Police (NWMP). After his discharge he settled on Pine Creek, near Midnapore about 1890. He married Maria Emily Power, 1870-1942, and they had six children, Grace (Wylie), Gladys (Taylor), Hartnell G., Albert, 1893-1978, Frank, and Ruth (Ross).
