History
Martin Dunsmuir Winning, 1924-1990, was born in Calgary, Alberta. He received Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in chemical engineering from the University of Alberta and a doctorate from the University of Toronto in 1952. He was employed by Shell Oil as Chief Gas Engineer and later as Manager of Environmental Affairs. He was a volunteer leader in the Boy Scouts for many years. He was awarded the Silver Acorn and was made a Fellow of the Calgary Scout Foundation in recognition of his service. He married Fay Rodney, and they had two sons, David and James.
