Biographical history

Wellington Brown, 1854-1941, was born in Colebrook, Ontario. He came west ca. 1888 and was involved in various business pursuits. He worked for Bow River Mills, lumber merchant and building contractor, from the Calgary, Alberta office ca. 1891-1897. He returned to Colebrook ca. 1901 and then to Napanee, Ontario ca. 1914. He and his wife, Louise McGinnis, had one child, Mildred (Douglas).
