        Dennis Wagner, 1916-2008, grew up in Calgary, Alberta and in 1939 enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF). He helped to maintain the bases of the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan for several years, then trained as a navigator in 1943. He served in the air force until 1967. In 1997 he began to assemble information about the Air Training Program in a project he called "Wings over Alberta". He also introduced students at Glenbow Museum to air force history. His project received wide publicity and was included in the Alberta Online Encyclopedia.
