        Janet Trotter, 1919-1945, was born in Calgary, Alberta, the daughter of William Beecham Trotter and Isabel Trotter. She was educated at St. Hilda's School for Girls. In 1936 she travelled to England with the Overseas Education League, led by Major Ney. When the group returned, Janet stayed on for several months, and was joined by her mother, and sister, Margaret Isabel "Peggy" Trotter, 1920-1955. She was engaged to Kenneth Carr when she was killed in a car accident in 1945.
