History
Kenneth Simpson Tory was Nova Scotian born before moving to Calgary and marrying Marjorie Lowe Bagnall in June 1941. He lived in Battle River for five years and died in Edmonton in 1999. In the 1959 Alberta General Election, Kenneth ran for the CCF in Calgary-West and lost in a landslide to Social Credit rival Donald Fleming.
