History
Frederick George Topp, 1861-1936, was born in England and came to Canada in 1882. He worked his way across Canada for three years before settling in Calgary, Alberta to run a butcher shop. He and his wife, Flora, had five children. Topp was an alderman in 1891 and a school trustee, 1893-1894. He was also active in the Sons of England. He left Calgary in the 1890s and died in Toronto.
