History
John Stuttaford, 1843-1927, was born at Camelford, Cornwall, England and came to Canada in 1860. He joined the North-West Mounted Police (NWMP) in 1874 and later settled in Fort Macleod, Alberta. He married Barbara Jane Peyton and they had at least three children, Mabel I. (Perkins), 1881-1966, Elizabeth Sara Jane, and Susan (Elliott).
