        Charles Devonport Streight, 1885-?, grew up at Oxford Mills, Grenville County, Ontario and moved to Calgary, Alberta in 1912. He established a sheet metal business and married Eva Bertha Shorey, 1884-?. He moved to Winnipeg in 1919 where their son Charles Leighton, 1921-?, was born. In 1927 they moved to Vancouver, British Coluimbia and then in 1929 to Toronto, Ontario. Leighton was educated in Toronto and became a United Church Minister. He served in various locations including several years in Calgary.
