Three years later they were joined by the other sons, Sid, Rex and Alex. The business, which manufactured and repaired truck and automobile springs, was initially located in a building at the rear of 2415 - 2A Street SE. Buildings were added in 1938, 1941, 1953 and 1959. In 1974 Standen's moved to its current location at 1222 - 58th Avenue SE.
