Biographical history
Sidney Richard Reeves, 1881-1960, came to Calgary, Alberta in the early 1910s and began work as a photographer for the W.J. Oliver Studio. He soon opened a studio of his own, Reeves and Young, with Edgar N. Young. After the Second World War he worked for Eastman Kodak and Lane's Studio. He and his wife, Elsie, ca. 1899-1978, had at least two children, Richard T. and Ruth (Rawlusyk).
