        Henry Noah Sereth was a Jewish-Austrian immigrant to the USA in 1900 who came to Calgary in 1904. He established the Riverside Lumber Company in 1905 and the Southern Alberta Lumber Company in 1908. He was also involved in real estate. During the First World War the Riverside Lumber Company went bankrupt and Henry went into the lumber business in British Columbia and Seattle, Washington. He retired in 1935. He and his wife, Rachel Kleiner, had at least one child, Sophia (Weinfield).
