History
George William Scott, 1874-1964, was born near Petrolia, Ontario and came west in 1902, settling in Innisfail, Alberta. He operated the Innisfail Creamery from ca. 1902 to 1906, and entered the dairy branch of the provincial government in 1907, remaining with them until he retired in 1939. The Scotts settled in Edmonton in 1928 where he was active in the Edmonton Horticultural Society, Strathcona Lodge and Strathcona Presbyterian Church. He and his wife, Helen, had seven children, Robert, George, Mitchell, Laura, Violet, Mrs. Bentum and Mrs. Young.
