Biographical history
Florence Ruby Dover (called Ruby) of Calgary, Alberta was the daughter of David Bell Dover, 1865-1945, and Mrs. D.B. Dover, ?-1929. Her brother, Melville G. Dover, 1893-1955, married Mary Cross, 1905-1994, and they had one son, Ernest David Cross, 1933- . Ruby married Larry Thomas Mack of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan in 1933. Larry worked as an agent for the Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR). They moved to Fife Lake, Saskatchewan in 1940, and lived there until Larry was killed in a car accident in 1951. Ruby returned to Calgary after her husband's death.

The scrapbook was found by the donor in a building leased by Standen's Ltd. in Calgary. He believes that E. David Dover used to store some things in the building.
