      History

      Charles Walsh Rowley, 1869- 1944, was born in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. He began to work for the Canadian Bank of Commerce in 1887. He was appointed manager in Calgary in 1902 and retained this position until 1911 when he was transferred to Winnipeg. The Rowleys had two daughters, Miriam and Kate Sterling Horsley (Bradburn).
