Biographical history
Robert McClements, 1928- , was born in Philadelphia and educated as an engineer at Drexel University. He worked for Foster Wheeler from 1952-1954, then served in the United States Army for two years. McClements worked for Catalytic Construction Company on several projects around the world, followed by a term as an engineer for the United States Atomic Energy Commission. He joined Sun Oil in 1965 as plant manager of the Great Canadian Oil Sands plant at Fort McMurray. In 1971 he returned to work for Sun Oil in the United States, eventually becoming President and Chairman.
