Biographical history
Robert L. Purdy, ?-2002, began his career in policing with the British Columbia Provincial Police. By 1966-1970 he was a Sub-Inspector in the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and commanding officer of the Lethbridge Subdivision. He had at least one son, Greg Purdy.

Evans Bailey, killed on duty by the train robbers Bassoff and Arkoff; views of the RCMP barracks at Lethbridge and Fort Macleod; and view of a drill formation of “M” Division, Fort Macleod.
