Biographical history
Richard S. Tribe, 1884-[after 1962], was born in Holstein, Ontario. In 1899 he moved to Alberta to join his parents who had homesteaded in the Olds area the previous year. He was an office worker in Calgary for several years, working for law firms and Pat Burns. In 1910 he began farming northeast of Carlstadt (Alderson). He married in 1914 and had four children. From 1928 to 1959 he farmed near Olds, then retired to Calgary.
