Biographical history
Richard B. Rushworth, 1880-1974, was born in Lancashire, England and graduated from the University of London. He married Edith M. Stringer in 1906, and in 1910 they came to Calgary, Alberta. He worked for the Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) until 1913 when he became an accountant at the Calgary Herald. He retired in 1948 as Secretary-Treasurer. He and his wife retired to Victoria, British Columbia in the late 1940s. They had two daughters, Rita (Dickson), [ca. 1908]- , and Eileen (Holland).
