  • Files consist of research material and preliminary notes for novel, primarily identified by Christie Harris in attached annotations as "Things Sheilagh (Feeney) remembered for Toe-Hanger... (when I prodded her and got her going)" and "Scraps still to be worked into Toe-Hanger."
  • Folder 1 includes article about college marriages detached from Redbook Magazine, May 1964, and article Do You Undervalue Sex? detached from Glamour, August 1964, both of which have holograph annotations by Christie Harris;
  • Also includes repository photocopy of letter (1964) from Sheilagh Simpson to Christie Harris with Christie Harris's holograph annotation "Start of Toe-Hanger."
  • Folder 2 includes drafts of radio scripts written by S. Simpson for Canadian Broadcasting Corporation's Trans Canada Matinee with Christie Harris's attached holograph annotation "Sheilagh (Feeney) working up her CBC talk scripts." Draft of script on 10BX Plan has Christie Harris's holograph annotation on first page "used as research for Toe-Hanger."
