Biographical history
Ralph Perrin Forster, 1898-1972, was born in Medicine Hat, Alberta. He enlisted in 1916 and served with the 15th Battalion Tank Corps during First World War. He was awarded the Military Cross. He received his BA from the University of Alberta in 1920, and his BComm from the London School of Economics in 1923. He worked for a variety of insurance and investment companies in both England and Canada, and founded Forster Investments Ltd. During the Second World War he served on the general staff of the British Army. He later settled in Edmonton and spent several months a year travelling for pleasure.
