Biographical history
Ralph Martin Erwin, 1902-1983, was born in Burwell, Nebraska, USA. In the 1920s he was involved in the western Canadian circuit of Chautauqua. In 1931 he moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba where he opened a chain of restaurants called Salisbury House. In 1979 Erwin sold his company and retired to Toronto, Ontario.
