System of arrangement
Records in this series are arranged first by production groupings and then in ascending chronological order by start date of production. Due to relative abundance of undated material, generally files are arranged by first known start date. Not every production necessarily belongs to a production grouping; some stand alone as single files. Within large production groupings—for example, Canadian Broadcasting Corporation productions—materials have been further grouped by type into separate files (i.e., correspondence files, financial files, etc.) except when maintaining original file composition (e.g., Canadiana ’53 file [MsC 302.3.2] is comprised of mixed materials). Otherwise original file composition has been maintained whenever possible. Individual non-grouped production files generally consist of mixed materials. Whenever possible, files have been internally arranged in ascending chronological order.

Note
Map folders contain oversize manuscript scores, technical drawings, diagrams, and some textual material. To facilitate organization of files within this series, summative file listing was created by repository. Printout of this is kept with finding aid and is available for researcher use.
