History
J.K. "Bud" Potter, [ca. 1909]-1988, became a pilot in 1929 and in the early 1930s made a living barnstorming at country fairs. From 1934 to 1936 he was secretary and flew for the Edmonton Aero Club. In 1937 he was a pilot for Consolidated Mining and Smelting in Yellowknife, NWT and later joined the Mackenzie Air Service. The latter firm was purchased by Canadian Pacific Airlines in 1942. During the Second World War Potter served with RAF Transport Command, ferrying aircraft across the Atlantic. He retired from CPA in 1968. He and his wife had three sons, David, Robert and Kenneth.
